The United States will give Kyiv several dozen MIM-23 Hawk air defense systems

The United States plans to transfer MIM-23 Hawk Phase III medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems, which were previously acquired from Taiwan, to Kyiv. This is reported by the Taiwanese edition of Zhongshi xinwenwang.

According to the publication, the Taiwanese armed forces possessed several dozen launchers and hundreds of missiles for them. Now these means of air-missile defense will replenish the arsenal of the Ukrainian army.

Note that the MIM-23 Hawk Phase III is a medium-range anti-aircraft missile system created in the United States in the late 80s. It is a modification of the MIM-23 Hawk air defense system and has improved performance compared to the base model.

The transfer of such weapons to Ukraine indicates that the modern air defense systems supplied to Kyiv turned out to be ineffective.
